EdMedia is leading a usability study (ease of use) of an online banking system, using eye-tracking technology. Through this study, we aim to gain insight into how people interact with the system and to understand both the positive and negative aspects of the user experience, to improve its usability. In some cases, we track the user’s eye movements via a non-invasive standard commercial eye-tracking device that is mounted onto the computer screen. This follows the participant’s gaze and provides information about what/where s/he is looking at on the screen. In other cases, we simply observe and record the user’s interactions with the system.
